Volunteer Screening Program

Notice to Parents and Volunteers with 3069 (1 Field Ambulance) RCACC St. Albert

 

In the interest of protecting our Cadets, the Army Cadet League of Canada has established a Volunteer Screening Program, in conjunction with our partner, the Department of National Defence.

Volunteers with our 3069 Cadet Corp has to comply with The Army Cadet League of Canada – AB Branch Volunteer Registration.

In a nutshell, any person who may find themselves working alone with cadets who are on “cadet duty” as defined in “The Queen’s Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Cadet Organization”.

There are two exceptions:

1. Members of the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) or Civilian Instructors (CI).

2. Volunteers or parents who occasionally drive cadets to and from organized activities do not need to be screened. The Army Cadet League has provided a Driver’s Log that records basic information and provides specific safety instructions for Drivers and Cadets.

If you wish to apply for a League Volunteer Identification Card please review the attached instructions and complete the attached forms. Once completed your package has to be turned to the 3069 (1 Field Ambulance) RCACC Commanding Officer, Captain Hattie for processing.

Once approved, the certificate is valid for 5 years.

Welcome Back!!

Parents and cadets

WELCOME BACK TO 3069 (1Fd Amb)

1.I would like to welcome everyone back to 3069 (1 Fd Amb) St. Albert RCACC for the 2015/2016 training year.

2.The training year will commence on 02September 2015 at 6:15pm (Kinsmen Korral, 47 Riel Dr.). This first night of training will primarily consist of the updating of cadet records, interviews with the training officer and the Commanding Officer and Kit Exchange. New cadet intake will start on this night as well. Information sessions will take place on 2 and 9 September at 7pm for anyone interested in joining our unit.

Parents/Guardians are
required to complete an update form, please ensure you come in with your cadet on the first night to review and sign it.

Cadets are to be dressed in C2A (see dress instructions)

3.We have a busy year planned for you featuring three weekend camps, sports days and of course our shooting program. You will also be participating in your star level training as well.

4. If you need to exchange or replace kit, you need to email Capt Styles at (Judy.Prowse@cadets.gc.ca) with the details. Details must to include:

•Item i.e. shirt, boots etc,
•Current size (if known); and
•Problem with item i.e. too small or missing etc.

Remember uniforms are no longer stored at our parade locations so advance notice is required. You will be required to wear or hand carry your uniform while you wait for exchanges/replacement so be prompt (civilian clothing will not be authorized).
